Welcome to Goodlake Barns, light and spacious four and five star cottages arranged together around an attractive courtyard in a picturesque village setting.

This is a relaxing place to stay and a convenient location for exploring Oxford and the Cotswolds.

The Estate

The barns vary in age but the name originates from the stable block constructed in the mid C19 by the lord of the manor Thomas Mills Goodlake. Look out for his initials inscribed on the building.

The estate was split-up in the1920s and the separate farms and houses divided up and sold. Church Farm continues to be farmed as an organic dairy farm but from more modern buildings about ½ mile outside the village. The old buildings which now comprise the holiday cottages became redundant and gradually fell into disrepair until their conversion into modern equipped cottages.
